Here’s this month’s Dresscode:
Think legs for days. Patterns and prints. I’ll even go as far as saying Caldezonia-esque.
It’s the most wonderful, magical, marvelous, stupendous, glorious (did I use enough adjectives yet?) delightful, splendid, celebrated, renowned (I think now I did) time of the year! I am very vocal about my undying love for December. Firstly some of my favorite people are born in this very month (shoutout to Dad, Joshua, Katie, Sonia, and Adina- this is real fame being mentioned in a Dresscode blog post) Second I’m a sucker for the Christmas festivities (mind you I am Jewish & I practice Judaism). I love the bright lights, I love the joy in the air, and I love the infectious energy that always presents itself during December.
Now let’s talk fashion: the temperature is on the colder side during this merry season so our fashion choices do need to reflect that. Yes, we need to wear sweaters. Yes, we need to layer. Yes, we need to bundle up in a thick coat. I am not here to state the obvious (well sometimes I am, but this is not one of those times), so keep that in mind. Anyways, our it girl helps keep you warm, but that's not why we chose her. We love a modern take on a classic. We love it when we take something reliable and add a bit of flair. We love to modernize our timeless pieces. I do not think our It girl needs further introduction, she truly does speak for herself (and she is a festive holiday choice). We present to you the December 2024 Dresscode: Funky Stockings.
We always try to pick something somewhat representative of the holidays around this time of year and I think Funky Stockings is no exception. Something about her screams fancy dinner in Aspen while the village is floundering with lights (are you catching my drift?). Anyways, Funky Stockings is such a simple way to elevate a monochromatic look or to slightly step out of your comfort zone. You can wear a subtle print or a vibrant color, or you can opt for something incredibly festive- either way we deem it chic.
Let’s talk about some ways to incorporate funky tights into your winter wardrobe:
An oversized blazer, micro shorts, pointy-toed heels, burgundy tights- timeless trendiness
A little black dress, sleek clutch, lace tights- lady of the hour(s)
Tailored mini, turtleneck sweater, polka dot tights- who is she?
