A big topic among those that have careers that require the “all black” wardrobe attire, is the constant feeling that you look the same everyday. I’ve actually never had to do that, but I do know many friends that have and were always wishing they could stand out at least every few days.
One of the simplest ways to accomplish this, is by mixing textures. If you’ve got a cotton top, pair with cotton leggings or a black denim.. well it’s all going to blend. No matter how cute the top is. I paired a fun fringe tank top with some shiny, faux leather Moto leggings to give each of the items its chance to stand out. Then I added in the pops of leopard print to really give my outfit texture and color.
If you can’t wear sleeveless at your job, you could easily throw a simple cardigan over this and still stand out. Because you already have the fringe and shine in this outfit, I wouldn’t throw in another texture with your outerwear for fear of then having “too much going on.”
