I’ve found a new love, and it needs to become your’s too.
For a while I was doing mild chemical peels on myself at home as apart of my skincare routine. They were doing okay for a while, but I’ve felt like I needed something a little more intense since I have tough, dry skin. I kept hearing more and more about this treatment called microneedling, so I had to read more into it. I’m so glad I did, because this is my new favorite treatment!
So what exactly IS microneedling?
Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenating procedure in which tiny needles create punctures in the top layer of skin with the goal of improving overall texture and appearance. Once an old-school beauty treatment, microneedling is making a comeback among both the skincare-obsessed and A-listers alike. The result is smoother, firmer, more even-looking skin. By promoting collagen growth, microneedling may help reverse signs of aging (such as fine lines), fade acne scars, and make skin look refreshed. It’s great for shrinking pore size, fine lines and wrinkles, acne/scarring, stretch marks, and sun damage.
What does it feel like? Needles have to hurt!
Actually, it’s not that bad. It’s definitely not a relaxing spa facial you’re giving yourself, BUT it’s totally do-able! I do turn pink, especially around my eye areas for a couple hours afterwards. It also may feel like a mild sunburn for the remainder of the day. I would recommend avoiding tanning for 3 days after each treatment. You can apply your skincare and/or makeup immediately after if needed. It takes me about 15 minutes to complete.
I’ve been using this kit for about a month now, twice per week and I can truly tell a nice difference in my skin. I also do my chest and upper neck (chin area). I bought the large tip for my chest and other larger areas I plan on trying out. I’ve let my mom borrow this a few times for herself and she’s loving it too. I’m thinking about giving this as her Christmas gift this year! Anyone who is looking to prevent aging, or reverse skin problems, I totally recommend this product! This is not a sponsored post, so these are my honest opinions. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
