Georgia’s been getting an early fall this year and I’m not complaining!

For my local North GA readers, you know summer doesn’t end until the end of September (if that), but this year we’ve actually got many 75 degree days already! I’ve always been a strictly spring/summer kind of girl, but after going through a brutal summer during first trimester last year, and then having a 5-7 month old throughout this summer, I’m ready for some cooler weather! This summer wasn’t near as bad as last, but it was still too hot to get Harlie outside for more than an hour or so without being in the pool. Almost everyday this last week we’ve took a break and played outside or went for a stroll in the afternoons. I’ll move her play station outside for her to play in while I work on the laptop.
So if you’ve been following along, I’m sure you know how excited I am about finally starting a clothing boutique. This has been a longgg time dream of mine which I never really thought much of because I figured it wouldn’t happen. I don’t know what it was (maybe the countless hours of holding a sleeping baby) that started my gears turning and asking myself what it was that I wanted to do differently. I’ve been a Medical Esthetician going on 8 years now, and still love that, but did want to try a new adventure. After talking with hubby recently, he told me to go for it! He’s always been very supportive of my ideas and knew I wouldn’t take it lightly. So here we are!
My top is from the initial collection and only $22. It’s a high/low so the back goes great with jeans. I shared a new pair of jeans I bought recently from Express, and these are just like them but grey! They are running BUY 1, GET 1 $9.90. They have the perfect rips and the fit makes these my new favorites. I always have such a hard time finding jeans because I’m so short and athletic shape.
Lastly, I’m still loving the straightener I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few weeks back. It stays a the same temperature the entire time I’m using it. It also heats up in less than 30 seconds, which is awesome.
Any fun festivals or events we need to put on our calendar for the fall?
