LIGHT PINK OUTFIT (#1)
HOT PINK OUTFIT (#2)
What girl’s favorite color isn’t some shade of PINK? I decided to write a post dedicated to this color for some fashion inspiration since I seem to live in bright, bold colors throughout the spring and summer months. I wanted to quickly share a few things about the color pink you probably didn’t know about..
1. The color pink represents caring, compassion, and love. It also stands for unconditional love.
2. Bright pinks stimulate energy and can increase blood pressure, respiration, and pulse.
3. Pink is the international symbol for breast cancer.
4. In Japan, it has a masculine association.
5. Pink has been used in prison holding cells to effectively reduce erratic behavior!
Now that you’ve had your history lesson on this favorite color of mine, on to the fashion part! Pink is one of those colors that can be paired with so many other colors and still look good. Even colors like orange and yellow that would normally clash, don’t look bad if blended well between patterns and accessories.
Both of these tops I paired with some of my favorite white cut-off’s to show how different pale vs hot pink can change an entire look! The first option is a chic and very light weight, but still classy enough for something like a baby shower or a fun girls day.
The top in the second picture screams summer. I can’t get enough of this off the shoulder trend that’s so hot right now, so I’m taking every advantage I can of it. Even though this top has sleeves, its super light so I won’t burn up in it with this Georgia heat we’re already getting (ugh..). But I love pairing a bold color with simply white or black to let that color really pop.
I’ve linked a TON of pink options below. Everything from cheap pink sunglasses, to designer pink bags (note: some items will be a different color below simply because the item may come in more color options, but pink is one of them!). Take a look and let me know what you buy!
